Long print runs place high mechanical stress on the print head: the thermal head is in direct contact with the passing label or transfer ribbon, causing continuous abrasion. Once the print results become faint or contain voids, the print head needs to be replaced. This can be done effortlessly and quickly with every Citizen printer and is absolutely cost effective as the printer lasts many times longer than a single print head.
